In your home, you have an individual heat pump. This heat pump receives source heat and cold from a collective energy system with closed soil loops. The system allows you to comfortably heat your home when it is colder and cool it in the hot summer months. Moreover, you always have hot tap water.

Homes in Ypenburg are divided into zones based on the connection capacity of the source heat.

The thermostat allows you to adjust the temperature. When you adjust the desired temperature on the thermostat, the thermostat sends a signal to the heat pump and it starts supplying heating or cooling.

Here you can read our tips:

The heat pump is connected to your underfloor heating/floor cooling system. The underfloor heating and cooling system heats and cools your home. Therefore, pay close attention when choosing a suitable floor. You will find all the important conditions in the brochure on the document page.

The heat pump is controlled by your living room thermostat. When you request heating, the heat pump turns on and produces heat. This heat is delivered by the heat pump to your underfloor heating system. This is how your home heats up. When the heat pump produces heat and delivers it to your home, the heat pump extracts heat from the collective source system. Indirectly, you thus use source heat to cool your home.

If you want to cool your home, set your living room thermostat to cool. Again, the thermostat sends a signal to the heat pump. This time, no heat is produced but the heat pump draws cooling directly from the collective source system. This cooling is brought to the right temperature by the heat pump (so there is no condensation in your home) and then delivered to your floor cooling system.

Then the heat pump and the living room thermostat are owned by Energiek, all other installation parts in the home are owned by the owner of your home. This is your landlord. See the schematic on the right.

Handle the heat pump and thermostat with care. Do not hang or mount anything on, on, above or below the heat pump. The place where the heat pump is located must be and remain easily accessible, for example for emergencies, malfunctions or for inspection or repair by or on behalf of Energiek. Also ensure that there are no objects near the heat pump that could damage it. Is something damaged anyway? If so, contact us immediately.

The heatpump
